Job description

MATERIAL SUPERVISOR

Essential functions\duties:

  • Adhere to and enforce Client policies, procedures and project documents, including the Stop Work Authority and the Structured Feedback.
  • Ensure the compliance of safety and environmental requirements during project execution, according to company, local and federal rules and regulations.
  • Assess, review and provide input on engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for completeness and constructability.
  • Perform Daily Inspections for material activities.
  • Assess, monitor, verify, inspect and audit daily delivery and storage activities assigned to ensure the work complies with applicable codes, project specifications, expected quality and safe working environment; relaying Stop Work Authority if necessary.
  • Assess, monitor, verify and inspect delivery and storage activities to ensure contract requirements and project schedules are met.
  • Assess the general quality and quantity of good received with Bill of Quantities and IFC Design; notifying Site Manager of any discrepancies or defects detected.
  • Prepare and submit detailed daily and weekly status reports for assigned activities through project tracking software.
  • Review all JHAs, inspect PPE and equipment safety devices on all site activities; address potential safety hazards at the time of the incident/s and improve processes and procedures to prevent incidents from reoccurring.
  • Document all "Lessons Learned" throughout the project and submit to the Site Coordinator/Site Manager for record keeping.
  • Attend meetings, conference calls and company events as requested.
  • Advise, teach, coach and mentor site construction teams, both internal and external.
  • Test, pilot and provide feedback on central and global initiatives, through direct and indirect participation.
  • Develop and enhance positive relations with contractors, landowners and community members during the construction phase.

  • Inspection report of the Deliveries
  • Inventory of the Deliveries provide by Expediting/Logistic Unit
  • Measurement Book of Bill of Quantities

Accountability

  • Daily check of delivery plan progress in accordance with work schedule and inform Expediting/Logistic unit by the Inspection reports
  • Monitor and Track the progress of the works with the Bill of Quantities and IFC drawings
  • Collect the expediting reports and certificates of material delivered to be validated by the Site Supervisors, when required
  • Verify the condition of goods received and manage the final acceptance with the site supervisors, when required

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Quality/ Construction Management or related field or equivalent of 5 years experience in support activities of large, utility scale, power generation on wind/solar construction projects.
  • 4+ years of referenced experience in Quality Control or Logistics in power plant generation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of time, including temporary assignment to projects and relocation between projects with short notice.
  • OSHA 30 or higher.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and federal, state, and local legal requirements as they apply to construction activities.
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures and determine appropriate action, stopping and reporting potentially unsafe works.
  • Knowledge of Delivery Plans, Material Control and Inventory Management.
  • Ability to search and understand specific requirements in the project documents, drawings, specifications, codes and contractual exhibits.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial construction processes, power plant engineering, environmental and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work in an international, multicultural team, with contractors and all other parties involved in the construction phase.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in challenging, fast-paced projects.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Power Point) and ability to learn and use construction software and applications (BlueBeam, Collector, Survey123, etc.).
  • Ability to utilize tablet and smartphone for daily work activities and creation of reports in company software and ability to apply technology innovations into daily construction activities.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments in adverse and extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Valid Driver's License;
