Job description

One of the leading engineering companies in the US are looking for several experienced Client Directors/ Seller Doers (Water/ Wastewater) for multiple locations around California, to lead and manage the business development/ client relationship management and engineering of Water/ Wastewater projects across California.

The company is an employee-owned engineering, consulting and construction company with operations across the US, with strong focus on providing high quality services to enable safe drinking water and effective wastewater management to communities across the nation.

The Client Directors/ Seller Doers (Water/ Wastewater) will be responsible for Business management with priorities on client relationship development, effective positioning within target client organizations, leading proposal preparation and pursuit teams, and strong financial management including both top line and bottom line growth. They will also be responsible for managing water and wastewater engineering capture strategies requiring global resources and/or multiple partners. Accountable for project performance and specific new business objectives. Creates opportunities for new/ repeat business; supports complex contract negotiations and identifies complex risk situations including technical, delivery and commercial terms risk.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting, preferably with a blend of public and private sector experience
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE registration is required
  • Technical excellence in planning studies, preliminary designs, final designs, program management, bid assistance and office services during construction for water conveyance (pump stations), Water/ Wastewater treatment plants, and water collection/ distribution systems.
  • Business Development experience and a network of clients, as well as being able to develop relationships with prospective clients is necessary
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers as related to career development.
  • A team leader with unquestioned integrity, ethics, good judgement and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
