Job description

We are a regional consulting firm founded with a vision to uphold environmental stewardship and technical excellence. Our award-winning projects focus on innovative water resource solutions for both public and private clients. We're currently on the lookout for an experienced Senior Environmental Specialist to assist our clients with environmental regulatory compliance and to contribute to our ecosystem restoration practice area.

Preferred candidates will be self-motivated; be able to show detailed experience working on a wide variety of environmental projects, including consulting directly with the Client; work well in a team setting; and have the ability to work in the field and travel periodically. Duties will include managing environmental projects, working with other project managers and technical staff, and mentoring/managing junior staff. Additional duties will include providing support in business development activities including meeting with potential Clients and contributing to written proposals. As a privately-held company, the qualified candidate would be eligible for an opportunity to become a shareholder.


  • B.S. in biology or related science
  • 6-12 years direct experience in environmental permitting, delineation of jurisdictional waters, and/or environmental field assessments
  • Demonstrated experience conducting wetland and stream delineations, field data collection, development of all phases of environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, threatened/endangered species and critical habitat investigations, and detailed vegetation assessments
  • Must have physical ability to hike 5 to 10+ miles a day in rough terrain.
  • Plant identification experience
  • Experience using hand-held GPS and GIS software
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist and/or other professional certification
  • Experience in ecosystem restoration and mitigation projects
